Here is a fun doodle activity for your topic on Summer, the Seasons or Weather. Good speaking and listening activity for pairs or writing activity making lists. Show on the smart board and see how many words the children can say or list in a given time.

A matching and sorting activity for KS1 4 sets of cards: Birds Fish Butterflies Bugs There are 4 of each type in black and white and 4 in colour. Children colour the pictures to make them the same as the colour versions. These can be made into flashcards for children to match and sort into the 4 sets or catergories of animals.

A 4 page resource for young children linked to colour, fish and also animals and their habitats, under and over, below and above, oceans and seas. The first two pages show a fishing scene. There are colour dots on the fish and in the sea and the sky. The idea is that children use the coloured dots to guide their colouring in work. Page 3 and 4 show the fishing boats. Children draw their own underwater scene adding fish, seaweed, bubbles and whatever else they fancy.

A resource linked to weather. It can be used over several weeks or a single week. The resource is a Weather Log designed for whole-school use, with each page featuring two weather logs in different colours and designs to keep the process engaging. There are 8 designs of logs with 2 to a page. Children can use the sections for each day of the week in a multitude of different ways e.g. noting the date, weather conditions (sunny, rainy, cloudy, etc.), morning or afternoon, temperature, and / or for drawing or pasting symbols. This allows children to track daily weather effectively. The logs can be enlarged as required. The final page is in black and white, encouraging children to personalize it with their own drawings, colours, and symbols, fostering creativity and ownership of their weather tracking.

A topic resource related to Animals and Birds. Bird Word Search: Engage learners with a fun word search activity where they find the names of 5 birds. An answer sheet is included to help them check their work. Three Bird Colouring Sheets: Children are provided with a set of birds that they need to colour to match pre-coloured examples.
